Thursday, 10th April, saw a by-election for the County Council seat of Belle Vue. The main County Elections were just last year when Labour won handsomely in Belle Vue with 65 per cent of the vote. This year, the overall turnout was marginally increased, and the Labour majority was cut from 367 to 130. Our total number of votes was increased from 393 to 435, and our vote share increased by 1.2 per cent whilst Labour’s collapsed by almost 20 per cent. A big thank you to everyone who was a part of the team, and now we continue campaigning for the City and European Elections coming up on Thursday 22nd May!
